Description:

Squalane is an important component found in human sebum. The sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands of the human skin contains about 10% squalene and 2.4% squalane. Squalane can form a sebum film on the outer layer of the skin, preventing the loss of moisture and shielding against bacteria, dust, and the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. It also promotes the proliferation of skin cells and has the effect of delaying skin aging. It is an easily absorbed, moisturizing, and non-greasy basic cosmetic ingredient.
